Located with Le Marché Des Enfants Rouges, i couldn't pass up the opportunity to a taste of the Caribbean in Paris. It really wasn't on my radar but having visited Martinique earlier in the year and remembering more than a few good meals, I decided go for it. The hostess/waitress was a charming young lady, slightly shy but very helpful in also recommending some places to check out for entertainment in the city. She also tried to explain what Corossol was to me as I'd never heard the term before (it's a cool plant/fruit with some [debatable] health benefits). Another, more mature lady also took some time to speak with me and chat about shop and Paris with me. Everyone was quite friendly...
The food...simplement délicieux!!! The dish I had was a more African inspired sausage style plate with a rather savory spice to it. The rice was well cooked along with the plantain. Definitely try the Corossol namesake beverage and enjoy the good vibes. I hope to stop in again. -

A little taste of the Caribbean in a French market. I really wanted French food, but my French friends wanted something else, so when in France... The food was really good. I've mostly been to American Caribbean islands or British, and it's different than French Caribbean food. The flavors are more subtle with a rich depth. Their rum drinks brought my friends back to the Caribbean and were quite delicious.

Great find in a cool hidden away food garden in Le Marais. The purveyor has great energy and is a consummate host. I love Caribbean food and she does it very well. Great selection of patties and fruit desserts. The bake bread or dough they use is delicate and fluffy, an exceptional taste and texture experience. So many great things to say ab Corossol, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Cute spot for a sunny day in Enfants Rouges. Five euro drink formule buys you a planter's punch and some mourue fritters, delicious and surprisingly spicy. Reggae music playing en boucle, so you can pretend you're on the Caribbean.
